Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled AC Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The AC Maintenance Technician will ensure that all systems are operating efficiently and effectively, providing a comfortable environment for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Install new air conditioning systems, including split units, central air systems, and window units, according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems, including cleaning, filter replacement, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components.
Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in air conditioning systems, including fixing leaks, replacing worn or damaged parts, and recharging refrigerant.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with air conditioning units, using diagnostic tools and equipment to determine the root cause of problems.
System Upgrades: Recommend and implement upgrades to existing systems to improve efficiency, performance, and energy consumption.
Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to explain system issues, provide recommendations, and offer preventive maintenance tips to avoid future problems.
Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, services performed, and recommendations for future work.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency repair calls and provide timely and efficient service to minimize downtime for clients.
Tools and Equipment: Maintain and manage tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and available when needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an AC Maintenance Technician, with a strong understanding of air conditioning systems and components.
Valid HVAC certification or equivalent technical training.
Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigerants, and HVAC controls.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
