Position: Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in chocolate production, a strong sense of creativity and innovation, and exceptional attention to detail in finishing and presentation. A passion for craftsmanship, consistency, and high-quality execution is essential.
Responsibilities
Develop, prepare, and refine chocolate-based pastries, fillings, and confections in line with company standards
Handle chocolate processes, including tempering, molding, enrobing, and finishing
Scale recipes accurately from test batches to large-scale production
Ensure consistent quality, taste, texture, and appearance across all products
Manage pastry inventory, ordering, and cost control
Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Train, supervise, and mentor pastry staff (if applicable)
Follow and enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu planning and events
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Cook in a professional kitchen
Strong knowledge of chocolate handling (tempering, molding, enrobing)
Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for pastry innovation
Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Culinary degree or formal pastry training preferred, but not required
Must have HACCP Level 3 Certificate
