We are expanding our team and looking for skilled, passionate and disciplined Commis Chefs to join our culinary operations.
Job Responsibilities
As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations across multiple cuisine brands.
Key Duties Include:
✔ Assist in the preparation, cooking & presentation of Indian and Oriental dishes
✔ Maintain consistency, taste, presentation & portioning across all brands
✔ Follow standard recipes, SOPs and production schedules
✔ Assist with mise en place, chopping, marination & basic cooking tasks
✔ Support Demi Chef / Chef de Partie with bulk preparation and service
✔ Ensure hygiene standards (HACCP / Dubai Municipality guidelines) are met
✔ Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment
✔ Manage stock rotation, labeling and storage of ingredients
✔ Report low stock items to supervisors
✔ Help ensure smooth operations during busy periods
Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Mandatory:
Minimum 5 years of experience in professional kitchens
Hands-on experience in Indian cuisine (North Indian gravies, tandoor basics, snacks preferred)
Experience in Oriental / Indo-Chinese / Pan-Asian cooking techniques
Good knife skills & mise en place knowledge
Ability to follow recipes accurately
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced cloud kitchen environment
Team player with positive attitude & willingness to learn
