We are seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse Manager to join our team. The Warehouse Manager will support warehouse operations by receiving, handling, storing, and tracking furniture inventory. This role involves physical tasks, inventory management, and ensuring accurate stock levels using warehouse management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Assist in receiving and processing incoming furniture deliveries, ensuring accurate quantity and quality checks.
Maintain an organized inventory tracking system to monitor stock levels, update records, and enter data accurately into the WMS.
Perform regular stock counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
Report discrepancies or damaged items promptly.
Track outgoing furniture for delivery or dispatch to customers, ensuring proper documentation.
Handling & Storing Furniture:
Safely unload, move, and store furniture items in designated warehouse areas, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage.
Organize furniture for easy access and retrieval.
Assist in assembly and disassembly of furniture as required.
Pack and prepare furniture for delivery or shipping, ensuring proper labeling and protection.
Warehouse Operations:
Assist in preparing orders for delivery, including picking, packing, and labeling items.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, deliveries, and warehouse activities.
Provide regular reports on inventory levels, damaged goods, and stock discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager.
Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager, drivers, and operations team to ensure timely delivery and resolution of stock-related issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, inventory management, or warehousing is a plus.
Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably in the furniture industry.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items safely.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Background in storekeeping or warehouse management.
General knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Proactive and able to carry out warehouse inspections to ensure cleanliness and order.
Experience in stock and transfer tracking.
Working Conditions:
Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in warehouse environments.
May require occasional weekend or evening work based on business needs
